Douglas Smith

Cobleskill- Douglas Paul Smith, 59, of Anthony Circle, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness.

Born December 7, 1958 in Bethpage, NY, he was the son of Herbert and Nan (Hendry) Smith and the stepson of Alfred T. Smith.

Doug received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance and had been employed at Clarient Group in Manhattan as Senior Project Manager.  He was an avid golfer and a member of Pathfinders of Manchester, CT.  He moved here this summer to live with his sister and family due to his illness.

Survivors include his daughter:  Teresa Rose Smith of Newburgh; sister, Kristine Wood (Leon Bilodeau) of Cobleskill; his nephews:  John Rempe of Los Angeles, CA , Thomas Wood of Cobleskill, and Brian Wood of Cobleskill.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Mereness–Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, where a period of visitation will be held prior to the service from 3 to 4 PM.
