Dorothy Wood

Mrs. Dorothy E. Wood, 95, of Grove Street, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Wood was born June 6, 1912 in Cobleskill, the daughter of Frank and Lena (Moister) Smith.
She was a self employed caregiver for many years. Mrs. Wood was a member of the United Methodist Church in Middleburgh and the United Methodist Women. She was also a senior companion at the Individualized Residential Alternative home in Middleburgh.
Her husband, J. Robert Wood, predeceased her in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter: Joan Clapper of Lake Worth, FL; 2 sons: Richard R. Wood and Ronald Wood, both of Middleburgh; a sister, Ida Mae Barlow of Central Bridge; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 3 at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh with Rev. Kay Truax officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 2 PM on Monday, prior to the service. Spring interment will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
