Middleburgh: Dorothy Klenow, 95, of Campbell Hill Road, died Friday, January 27, 2017 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital, following a brief illness.

Dorothy was born on March 28, 1921, in Conesville, to Leslie (Haner) and James Wayman.

Dorothy worked tirelessly on the family's farm and was devoted to her family, helping raise several generations. She also worked as a home health aide.

She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing card games and volunteering her time at the Schoharie County Office for the Aging.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband: Fritz Klenow; daughters: Dorothy Hollmann, and Elsa Klenow.

She is survived by her daughter: Leslie (Marty) Periera of Burelson, TX; son: Edward Klenow of Joshua, TX; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren

A funeral service will be held at 5:00PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River Street, Middleburgh, NY with Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Keyserkill cemetery. A period of visitation to be held from 4:00-5:00PM Wednesday, prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the Schoharie County Office for the Aging, 113 Park Place, Suite 3 Schoharie, NY 12157
