Middleburgh- Dorothy Diamond, 75, of State Route 30, died peacefully, Sunday, March 10, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born in Middleburgh on June 24, 1937 to the late Alvira (Warner) and Ralph Slater.
Dorothy attended Middleburgh Central School before working the the former Schoharie Valley Laundry in Middleburgh. She enjoyd baking, attending flea markets, antiquing, winning poker games and spending time with her family.
Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband: Leonard Diamond; second husband: Daniel Diamond and her grandson: Randy Becker.
She is survived by her children: Debbie (Mike) Reynolds of Richmondville, Terry (Tony Preston) Bevins, Bob (Linda) Diamond, Penny Becker, David (Elaine) Diamond and Diana (Roger, Jr.) Schrom, all of Middleburgh; sister: Pearl (Alan) Shaul of Middleburgh; brothers: Roger (Kathy) Slater of Carlisle, Ralph "Pete" Slater, Jr. of Middleburgh; twenty four grandchildren and twenty eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church will officiate. Family and friends are also invited to a peiod of visitation, to be held at the funeral home from 6-7pm, prior to the service Friday night. A spring interment will be in the Middleburgh Cemetery.
