Warnerville - Mrs. Dorothy G. Corlew, 86, formerly of Schenectady, died Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home in Stamford, NY.
Born in Schenectady, NY on January 16, 1923, she was the daughter of Armand and Gladys (Fountain) Bourdeau.
Mrs. Corlew was a lifelong area resident of Schenectady, having attended John Bizbee Grade School and Draper High School. She worked as a fork lift driver for General Electric during the war and later as a seamstress for American Laundry.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nathan Corlew, Sr., and a son, Edward Whitney. Following her husband's death in 1996, Mrs. Corlew relocated to Warnerville Trailer Park.
Survivors include her son, Nathan (Teresa) Corlew, Jr. of Cobleskill; two daughters: Marjorie (Robert) Mais of Florida, and Rachael 'Pat' Proctor of Worcester; a brother, David Bourdeau of Schenectady; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
