Richmondville- Dorothy A. Campbell, 93, formerly of Richmondville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 28, 210 at her daughter, Pam's, home in Albany after a long illness.
Born in Warnerville, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Pearl (Stevens) Shafer.
Dorothy was a devoted homemaker and mother. She raised her four daughters (two sets of twins) in a home filled with love and warmth. At the same time, she worked for the Cobleskill School District and later for the U.S. Post Office in Richmondville. Dorothy was a member of the Richmondville United Methodist Church and was a volunteer for the hospital auxiliary in Cobleskill.
She will be dearly missed. Her devoted husband, Edwin Campbell, predeceased her in 1993.
Dorothy is the loving mother of Karen (Allen) Armsby, Sharon (Anthony) Kasowski, Pamela (Joseph) Romano, and Paula (Fred) Card. Dorothy is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Atria-Guilderland (where she lived previously) and the Community Hospice of Albany County for their wonderful and caring support.
There will be a private funeral service for the family and burial in Bramanville Prospect Cemetery.
