HYNDSVILLE (Schoharie County, NY), Doris L. Page Ott, 87, of Brown Mills Lane in Hyndsville, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at her daughter's residence in Port Henry, NY after a brief illness.
Mrs. Ott was born April 2, 1922, in Germany and was the daughter of Karl and Karolina (Rittersbacher) Hoffmann.
She had worked for Coca Cola, the General Electric Company and Wallace Company Department Store, and also for Sears Department Store at the Colonie Center. For over thirty years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bill, accompanying him when he delivered Electrolux Products and attending conventions. She worked hard all her life, loved her extended family, enjoyed spending time with her many friends, and truly loved her daughter, grandchildren, and found a special fondness for George, her son-in-law.
She was predeceased by her husband, William F. Ott, who died October 8, 2007.
Mrs. Ott is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karolina and George Nolan of Port Henry, NY, a Granddaughter, Christine Dubuque and her daughter, Isabella, of Francestown, NH, a Grandson, Kristofer (Charlene) Dubuque of Gloversville, NY, and their three children, Isaias, Thomas, and AriAna Dubuque, a step-son, William (Martha) Ott of Hyndsville and several relatives in Germany.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm, on Friday, May 1, 2009, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill, NY with Rev. Thomas Holmes as celebrant. A period of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, April 30 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Schenectady, NY.
