Doris Barry

STAMFORD- Doris L. Barry, 94, died Wednesday, May 10 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Facility where she had been a resident since May of 2003.
She was born August 19, 1911 in West Hampton Beach, NY and was the daughter of James G. and Dela (McAvoy) Bennett.
Mrs. Barry moved to the Summit, NY area in 1942. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness of Stamford, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alonzo James Barry who died March 26, 1981 and a son, Raymond A. Barry who died November 13, 1999.
Mrs. Barry is survived by one son, Larry (Helen) Barry of Charlotteville, NY, one sister, Hattie Schambers of Schenevus, NY, one brother, Raymond Bennett of New Smyrna Beach, FL, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter, and special friends Susan and Jim Mickle. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Robinson Terrace for the care given to Doris.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, May 15, 2006 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY. Inurnment will be in Summit Cemetery, Summit, NY after the service, with a reception following at the Charlotteville Fire Hall.
