Donna Phelan

Warnerville- Donna L. Phelan, 58, of West Fulton Road, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Strong Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born September 28, 1961 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Donald C. and Patricia F. (Breen) Larkin.

Donna was a 1979 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School and spent 39 years working in the financial institution of banking.

Happiest when spending time with her children and family, Donna also enjoyed camping, boating, downhill skiing, being at the ocean and beach.  She was a dedicated New England Patriots fan.

Forever cherishing her memories are husband, Michael D. Phelan, whom she married June 5, 1981; her two sons: Christopher (Danielle) Phelan of Warnerville and Nathaniel Phelan of Warnerville; her siblings: Maureen Larkin of Colonie, Valerie (David) Gregory of Sloansville, Shirley (James) Petersen of Warnerville, and Matthew (Robin) Larkin of Sloansville; her father-in-law, Donald Phelan of Warnerville; her sisters-in-law: Nancy (Michael) Spenello of Warnerville and Julie (Steve) Fancher of Warnerville; brother-in-law, David (Helene) Phelan of Warnerville and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, Donald C. Larkin in 2000 and Patricia (Breen) Larkin in 2018, as well as her mother-in-law, Kay Phelan, in 2011.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 11AM to 2PM on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with mandatory face coverings and social distancing to be respected by all.  A private service for the family will immediately follow with burial in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
