Fultonham: Donald Aloysius Delaney, 77, of State Route 30, died Thursday, July 23, 2009 at the Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Cobleskill, NY.

Mr. Delaney was born June 22, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, NY, a son of the late Daisy (Crane) and John P. Delaney.

He was a truck driver for Oneida Motor Freight in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Mr. Delaney enjoyed bird watching and Western movies. He was a devoted family man and a staunch supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Center.

Mr. Delaney attended the Middleburgh United Methodist Church.

He was predeceased by his son, Donald S. Delaney, his granddaughter, Delaney Ann Guenette and 15 siblings.

Mr. Delaney is survived by his daughters, Dianna van Eekeren of Endicott, NY, Denise (Grant Hunt) Delaney of Fultonham, NY, Tonja Jones of Greely, CO, his son, Dennis (Cathy) Delaney of Fultonham, NY, his daughter-in-law, Kathy Delaney of Middleburgh, NY, Granddaughters, Amy Toombs of Mansfield, TX, Erin Fine of Cape Cod, MA, Leahann Delaney of Kissimmee, FL., Gloria Delaney of Fultonham, NY, Breanna Delaney of Middleburgh, NY, Angela Jones of Greeley, CO., Shelby van Eekeren of Endicott, NY, Grandsons, Ian Peet of Mansfield, TX, Donald Delaney of Round Top, NY, Patrick Delaney of Hampton, VA, Joel Fine of Latham, NY, Jerry Delaney of Fultonham, NY, Joseph Delaney of Middleburgh, NY, Dennis Delaney of Davenport, FL, Morton Peet of Germantown, NY, Matthew Peet of Vilseck, Germany, Kenneth Miccio of Latham, NY, Paul Miccio of Latham, NY, Desmond Delaney of Kissimmee, FL, Great grandsons, Braydon Peet, Owen Peet and Aidan Toombs all of Mansfield TX, Connor Delaney, Eoin Delaney, Liam Delaney all of Middleburgh, NY, Patrick Delaney and Logan Delaney both of Hampton, VA, many nieces and nephews, his beloved friend, Catherine Bates of Greely, CO and his beloved dog Crissy, cats, Sissy, Mommy, Mickey, Blacky and horse Topaz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 5:00pm at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, NY. Reverend Jeff Rauhauser of the Middleburgh United Methodist Church will officiate.
Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 3-5pm Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Cremation will take place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady, NY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Center, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
