Cobleskill - Dolores “Dee” J. Falzarano, 69, of North Street, died peacefully in the comfort of her own home with her loving son by her side on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Born October 4, 1953 in Richmondville, she was the daughter of Millard "Pete" and Viva (Utter) Sperbeck.
Dee was a graduate of the former Richmondville Central School and remained a lifelong resident of the area, and was well-loved in her community. Dee selflessly cared for others and was always willing to volunteer her time and energy. Whether it was being a Cub Scout Den Leader, tee-ball coach, chaperone, or taking care of her husband, father, and mother prior to their passing, Dee worked tirelessly to do each with the utmost care.
She retired from the Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District in 2017 where she was an educational aide.
As a lifelong baker, she took great pleasure in making baked goods for friends and family, including her famous Chocolate Jumbos.
Treasuring the memories of Dee are her beloved friends, son and his wife, Aaron and Julie Falzarano and their children Axel and Elliana.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her sister, Dale M. (Sperbeck) Ervin.
Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home at 171 Elm St., Cobleskill on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Minister David Houck officiating. Inurnment will follow the service on Sunday at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Cobleskill.
The family would like to thank Dee’s friends who have provided care and friendship throughout her life and especially the members of “Team Dee” whose selfless actions helped fulfill her final wishes.
