Cobleskill- Diane M. Devanny, 64, of Quarry St., died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
Born August 3, 1947 in Cobleskill, she was the daughter of Irving and Florence (Sommers) Osterhout.
Diane was a lifelong area resident and was employed for over thirty years as a cook at SUNY Cobleskill. She had also worked at the former Park Hotel in Cobleskill.
Diane was a life member of the Cobleskill Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of the Cobleskill Rescue Squad as well.
She was an avid Yankees fan along with NASCAR
Diane was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church.
A devoted wife and mother, family time was her pride and joy.
Survivors include her husband, Robert J. Devanny, whom she married June 22, 1968; her two children: Kevin Devanny of Cobleskill and Mary (Ben) Woodhouse of Williamsburg, VA; her brother: Hank (Dorothy) Osterhout of Riparius, NY; her aunt: Margaret Sommers of Cobleskill; and several nieces and nephews.
