Devin McMahon

Charlotteville- Devin D. McMahon, 16, of Charlotte Valley Road, died Friday, May 16, 2014, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born February 23, 1998, he was the son of Pamela Butler of Charlotteville and Kevin McMahon of Cobleskill.

Devin was a sophomore at Charlotte Valley Central School where he was active in sports. He played Lil Dawgs football in Cobleskill while in third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. A member of the JV basketball team, Devin played both his freshman and sophomore year and was moved to Varsity at the end of the season this year. He was also a member of the baseball, soccer, and track teams.

Devin enjoyed learning the building trade and most recently had worked for Elery Rossbach.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his brothers: Dustin McMahon of Jefferson, Domhnic Butler of Charlotteville; maternal grandparents: Diane and Larry Clum of Charlotteville, Burton Butler of Walton; paternal grandparents: Sue and David Wilson of Cobleskill; stepmother: Hannah Grass of Cobleskill; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home prior to the service from 4 to 6 PM. Cremation will follow after the service at Vale Crematory, Schenectady,
