Carlisle-Dennis W. Myers, 49, of South Crosby Road, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at his residence following a long illness.
Dennis was born June 19, 1959 in Albany, the son of Ronald W. and Alice (Lawson) Myers, Sr.
He was a lifelong area resident and was a mechanic for Harvest Homes of Delanson for over ten years. Dennis was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Most importantly, he treasured his time with family.
Dennis was predeceased by a brother, Lawrence Myers.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea (Elwood) Myers, whom he married March 17, 1998; his children: Shannon Derr of Cobleskill, Benjamin Derr of Carlisle, Desiree Myers of Howes Cave, Danielle Myers of Richmondville, Donna Lawyer of Richmondville, Dianna Myers of Howes Cave, Dakota Myers of Howes Cave, and Dyan Myers of Howes Cave; 5 grandchildren; his parents: Ronald W. and Elizabeth Myers, Sr. of Pattersonville; 4 brothers: Ronald W. Myers, Jr., James Myers, and Bruce Myers all of Pattersonville, Chad Myers of Sharon Springs; his sister, Lisa Myers of Burtonsville; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm St. Cobleskill with Rev. Bert Mayne of the Carlisle Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends are welcome to attend the visitation period at the funeral home from 11 AM to 2 PM on Tuesday, as well as the service. Burial will follow in Carlisle Cemetery.
