Dennis C. "Porky" Garner, 66, of Posson Hill Rd., died Mon. July 30, 2007 at his home.
Mr. Garner was born in Middleburgh, NY on Dec. 3, 1940 a son of the late Lewis and Alverda Spaulding Garner. He was a lifelong area resident and a 1959 graduate of Middleburgh Central School. He was a member of the Painter's Local # 201 and previously employed by Quality Painter & Decorator in Amsterdam for over 20 years. Mr. Garner served in the United States Marines from 1959-1963 and was a member of the American Legion Post # 1261 in Schoharie, NY. "Porky" loved hunting, trapping in his youth, shooting archery and he was a lifetime member of the Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Dick Garner of Amsterdam and Fred Garner of Middleburgh.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carolyn Tess (Madigan) Garner and
Son: Jason (Amy-Elizabeth) Garner Ocala, Fl.
Brother: Edward (Marian) Garner Delray Beach, Fl.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Fri., Aug. 3, 2007 at Palmer & Shaylor Inc. Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh. Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation will take place at the Vale Cemetery Crematorium, Schenectady, NY.
