Middleburgh - Delores "Maggie" A. Diamond, 65, of Mill Valley Rd., died Sunday July 11, 2010 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Delores was born on July 30, 1944, in Cobleskill, NY, a daughter of the late Catherine (Tillison) and Rueben Mickle.
Delores was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries #2695 of Cobleskill and the Moose Lodge of Montour Falls. She also enjoyed camping at Montour Falls.
Besides her parents, Delores was predeceased by her great-granddaughter, Marlee German.
She is survived by her husband: Doyle Diamond of Middleburgh, whom she married July 7, 1962; her daughter: Brenda (Harry) Kenney of Middleburgh, NY; her sisters: Marlene (Boyce) Lawyer of Middleburgh and Rosemary (Arthur) Cummings of Nashville, TN; six brothers: Rueben (Sandra) Mickle of Middleburgh, Larry (Judy) Mickle of Middleburgh, James (Sue) Mickle of Charlotteville, Charles (Barbara) Mickle of Cheyenne, WY, Howard Mickle of Schenectady, and Edward Mickle; three grandchildren: Angela German, Harry (Sandy) Kenney III, and Samantha Kenney all of Middleburgh; six great-grandchildren: Dyllan Bevins, Chloe German, Cameron Kenney, Harry Kenney, Maggie Kenney and Doyle Kenney.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh with Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, prior to the service. Burial will follow in Middleburgh Cemetery.
