Middleburgh- Deedra Aljean Lawyer Smith was born in Cobleskill, NY on May 17, 1964. She passed away on March 22, 2015 in her home with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was the daughter of Snooks and Smitty.
Deedee enjoyed playing softball, hanging with her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grand babies.
Dee is predeceased by her father, Harold Smith.
Deedee is survived by her mother, Arlene (Snooks) Lawyer; Tim O'Connor, who was her companion for 18 years; daughter, Jesse (Nathan) Trombley; son, Robert (Jordon) Diamond, Jr.; grandson, Ethan Trombley; granddaughter,Savannah Trombley; sister, Tina (Paul) Bellinger, and brother: James (Tammy) Smith, all of Middleburg; sisters: Sharon Smith of Cobleskill, Candy Delgato of Texas, Tracy Anderson of Montana; brothers: Jeff (Lisa) Foland of Idaho and Brian (Linda) Countryman of Minnesota, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Deedee wanted to give thanks to everyone for all the help, support and kind words during her time of need.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 7 PM at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River Street, Middleburgh, where a period of visitation will be held from 5-7 pm, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to be made in Deedee's name to Marathon for a Better Life, PO Box 268, Warnerville, NY 12187.
