Debra Cooper

Howes Cave- Debra A. Cooper, 58, of Caverns Road, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Born November 2, 1959 in Cobleskill, she was the daughter of the late Glenn A. English and her mother who survives her, Janice M. (Slider) English.

She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School where she was a member of the Koble-Airs.  A loving wife, Debra found great pleasure in tending to her flower garden, feeding and watching the birds, taking care of stray cats, camping, shopping, crafting, attending lawn sales and following #3 and #88 NASCARs.

She is survived by her husband, George Cooper, whom she married June 8, 1991; her mother, Janice English of Richmondville; her siblings:  Diane (Roger) Filmer, Darlene Pease, and Donald English all of Richmondville, and Darryl English of Central Bridge; and many nieces and nephews.  Her brother, David English, predeceased her.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, where a period of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in Central Bridge Cemetery, Route 7, Central Bridge.
