Dawn Moore

Richmondville- Dawn E. Moore, 53, of State Route 7, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Community Hospice Inn in Albany with her loving family at her side.

Born January 2, 1965 in Cobleskill, she was the daughter of the late Burr Fancher and Brenda (Crapser) Fancher, who survives her.

A lifelong area resident, Dawn was a graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School.  Her family was her world as she not only was a wonderful wife and mother but she had the gift of caring and providing for so many other children that grew up with her two boys.  She will be remembered as a woman who was always helping others in there time of need.

Survivors include her husband, Steven M. Moore, whom she married July 28, 1984; two sons:  Alex Moore of Richmondville and Brandon Moore of Cobleskill; her mother, Brenda Fancher of Janesville; two sisters:  Debbie (David) Chase of Janesville and Darlene Pierce of Averill Park; three brothers:  David (Dyan) Fancher of Sneedville, TN, Daniel (Terri) Fancher of Esperance, and Donald (Sheila) Fancher of Jefferson; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, where a period of visitation will be held one hour prior, from 10 to 11.  Officiating will be Rev. Dan Martin of East Worcester United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Seward Valley Cemetery, Dorloo.
