Cobleskill- Mr. David A. Wilson, 82, of Mineral Springs Road, Cobleskill, New York died Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Westchester Medical Center.
Born on March 21, 1940 in the Town of Richmondville, he was the son of Leon Wilson and Doris Hogeboom. He was a graduate of Cobleskill High School, Class of 1958 and was a lifelong resident of the local area.
Mr. Wilson worked for SUNY Cobleskill, General Electric, and for his father's business, Leon Wilson Painting.
David was known for always having a red Chevy truck. He was a coin collector. He enjoyed puzzles, gardening, cooking, baking, and canning. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and loved ones at The American.
David was predeceased by his wife, Solveig Secilie; brother, Robert Wilson; half-brother, Rory Tyrrell; and step-grandsons, Devon and Dustin McMahon.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his children, Theresa Munford and Stephen of Howes Cave, NY, Tonia Briggs and Jon "Bear" of Cobleskill, NY, Yvonne Cronk and John of Schoharie, NY, Dean Wilson and Debbie of Pepperall, MA, Burdette Wilson of Troy, NY, Jeff Wilson and Elsa of Penhook, VA; step-children, Victoria McMahon Croce and Michael of Tenafly, NJ, Kevin McMahon and Hannah of Cobleskill, NY; siblings, Larry, Phyllis, Barbara, Patty; many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at a later date.
