David Roe, Sr.

Carlisle- David C. Roe, Sr., 57, of State Highway 20, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at his residence.

Born June 7, 1964, in Cobleskill, he was the son of the late Deanna (Walker) and Franklin H. Roe, Sr.

Dave was co-owner of Dave’s Towing and Auto Repair in Carlisle with his son, DJ.  As any auto mechanic, he loved to tinker and accept the challenge of speed with anything that had wheels.  He was an avid NASCAR fan, admiring Dale Earnhart in particular.  Dave was a derby man and enjoyed a good cold Budweiser.  For anyone who needed help, Dave was there to lend a hand.  Most importantly in his life, he just loved being a Pappa!

He was predeceased by his baby daughter, Denise Marie Roe.

Cherishing his love of life are his children: David C. (Jade) Roe, Jr. of Middleburgh, and Nicole Roe (Clifford Hart) of Hannacroix and their mother, Marie (Merwin) Roe; his three siblings: Franklin H. Roe, Jr. of Carlisle, Anna Foland of Richmondville, and Brian (Veronica) Roe of Middleburgh; three grandchildren: Jase Calvin Roe, Emily Hart, and Kyle John Miller; along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 6PM on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill where a visitation will begin at 5PM.  Robert Stark will be celebrating David’s life.  Attendees are required to wear face coverings.
