David Lawyer

Cobleskill- David M. Lawyer, 53, of East Main St. died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, while at work.

Born May 18, 1968, he was the son of the late Robert Lawyer and Esther (Croston) Woodbeck.

Dave graduated from Schoharie Central School and at the youthful age of fifteen he joined the Explorers Club at the Cobleskill Fire Department.  He was a dedicated volunteer with them for the past 32 years.  Dave enjoyed fishing and traveling on many bus trips to Casinos and to the lobster festival in MA.

The various coffee clutches he routinely joined every morning along with conversations he had with customers at Woodbeck’s Liquor filled his life.

Embracing his memories are his brother, Andrew (Sharon) Lawyer of Cobleskill, nephew, Tyler (Katryna) Lawyer and grandniece, Liliana Lawyer.

A period of visitation will be held from 5PM to 7PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. A Fireman’s Service will be held at 7PM immediately following. Inurnment will take place at Slate Hill Cemetery, Sharon, NY in the Spring of 2022.
