Warnerville - David Huse, 56, of Karker Road, Town of Richmondville, died Monday, June 7, 2010, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle/tractor accident.
He was born November 3, 1953 in Plainfield, NJ and was the son of Sylvester and Pauline (Campbell) Huse, who survive him.
Mr. Huse was a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill and worked on the family farm, Stonebroke Farm, located in the Town of Richmondville.
He was a member of the Schoharie County Policy Development and Executive Committee, the New York State Beef Committee, a Representative and County Representative of the Farm Bureau, former President, Vice President and Director of the Farm Bureau, a Schoharie County Representative for the Concentrated Animal Feed Unit Working Group, the Farm Bureau Representative to the Four Partners, a member of the Comprehensive Plan Committee for the Town of Richmondville, the Richmondville Zoning Re-Write Committee, a founder of the Schoharie Valley Landowners Coalition, the Northeast Livestock Services Coalition, the R. C. & D. Grass Masters (a USDA Program), the Livestock Committee for New York Farm Viability Institute, US Scenic Route 20 By Way committee, as well as a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cobleskill.
David is survived by his parents, Sylvester and Pauline "Cam" Huse of Richmondville, two brothers, Stephen Huse of Dewey Beach, DE and Jeffry (Audrey) Huse of Slingerlands, NY, his nephews and nieces, Justin (Sarah) Huse, Stephen Huse, Hannah Huse, Johannah Huse, and David Huse.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Fri., June 11, 2010 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill, NY with Father Thomas Holmes as celebrant. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY. Burial will be in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
