Middleburgh- Darleen L. Novak, 56, of Armlin Hill Road, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown after a brief illness.

Darleen was born on July 22, 1960 in Queens, NY to Catherine (Armlin) and Arthur F. Reinheimer, Sr.

Darleen graduated from Middleburgh Central School and worked with her father for many years farming.

She was an avid gardener and loved tending to the landscaping around her home. Darleen also enthusiastically decorated her home for every holiday and looked forward to gatherings with family and friends. Over the years she assisted Wes Laraway with rescue animals and cared for them on her farm along with her own personal animals.

Darleen was predeceased by her mother, Catherine L. Reinheimer.

She is survived by her husband of thirty one years: Richard "Dick" Novak of Middleburgh; father: Arthur F. Reinheimer, Sr.; sisters: Valerie (Jerry) Dunham of Middleburgh, Lori Douglas of Middleburgh, Cynthia (Fred) Wood of Schoharie, Katie Reinheimer (Brandon Lockwood) of Middleburgh; brother: Arthur F. Reinheimer, Jr. of Middleburgh; aunt: Sonya Armlin-Roland of West Fulton, Joy Armlin-Renak of Prescott, AZ and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of Darleen's life will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Middleburgh Volunteer Fire Department, Railroad Avenue, Middleburgh, with Rev. Burt Mayne officiating. There will be a luncheon and continued fellowship following the service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, Middleburgh and the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, Cobleskill.
