Richmondville- It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of our beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend to many, Daniel Maurice Sperbeck. Born October 12, 1986 in Schenectady, he is the son of Jeffrey and Kelly (Snyder) Sperbeck.
Dan was a 2005 graduate of Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School where he played Varsity football, basketball and baseball. He thrived on the court and in the field, amongst his teammates and life-long friends. In the classroom, he was quick to crack a joke and always managed to keep his teachers amused, all the while wearing a sly smile on his face.
Finding solace in the outdoors, Dan spent time hiking and exploring the beautiful Adirondack and Catskill Mountains over the years. He proudly summited Cascade and Porter Mountains, as well as Mt. Marcy. From his music down to his moccasin slippers, Dan was an old soul. He whistled often, loved Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and would sing along to nearly any Classic Rock song. Dan had a tremendous heart and quietly amassed friends wherever he went in life. Above all else, he cherished his family, who affectionally referred to him as ‘Dedo’. Time spent amongst them was sure to put the biggest smile on his face.
Forever cherishing his memories are his loving parents, Jeff and Kelly; siblings: Melissa and Bill Makarowski and Jeffrey and Kayla Sperbeck and their children: Ryan, Ava, and Jacob Makarowski and Harper and Harrison Sperbeck; and paternal grandparents: Maurice and Patricia Sperbeck of Naples, FL; several aunts, uncles and beloved cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Marion Snyder of Cobleskill.
Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 2 to 5 PM on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020 at the Lawyersville Reformed Church.
