Dale W. Miers

July 27, 1948 — December 16, 2022

Cobleskill- Dale W. Miers, 74, of Gordon Road, succumbed to injuries on Friday, December 16, 2022 due to an explosion at his residence that occurred the day prior.

Born July 27, 1948 in Cobleskill, he was the son of Loren W. and Dorothy (Brown) Miers.
Dale was a United States Navy veteran, proudly serving his country from 1967 until 1969 when he received an honorable discharge.

He loved hunting, woodworking, the outdoors and enjoyed welding. Most of all, he had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.

Survivors include his children: Patricia (David, Jr.) Wickham of Mechanicville and Christopher Dale (Kristina) Miers of Albany; his siblings: Sandy Miers of Albany, Marilyn Perrino of Roswell, GA, Linda Dramis of Zebulon, NC, Loren "Butch" Miers of Cobleskill, Suzanne (Steve) Crasper of Leesburg, FL; four grandchildren: Brittney, David III, Brandon and Brianna and four great-grandchildren: Ellamae, Liliana, Matthew and Roan and his extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Dale was predeceased by his brother, Clyde Miers and sister, Janet Simpson.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 5PM to 7PM on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home where military honors will be provided at 7PM. Spring interment will be in Slate Hill Cemetery, Town of Sharon.
