Central Bridge- Dale R. Henness, 53, of Grovenors Corners Road, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness.

Born July 14, 1963 in Cobleskill, he was the son of the late Roger Henness and Linda Greshammer, who survives him.

Dale was a United States Army veteran, serving his country until receiving an honorable discharge. He was employed as a delivery person for Advanced Auto Parts in Cobleskill until his illness no longer allowed him to work.

Family time was his priority. As a hobby and part time job, he worked for George and Ann Blair at their place of business, The Black World Championship Rodeo. Dale was an avid NASCAR and Miami Dolphins fan. He was fond of animals, especially, Lily, and enjoyed watching TV shows, with Cops being one of his favorites.

Survivors include his daughter: Nicole (Mark, Jr.) Temp of Richmondville; his mother: Linda Greshammer of Richmondville; his companion: Becky Hayes of Central Bridge; his sisters: Debra (David) Sperbeck of Richmondville and Denise Henness of Richmondville; three grandchildren: Noah Temp, Mark Temp III, and Allison Norris; his daughter: Ashley Chase of Richmondville; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 7 PM on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill where a period of visitation will be held prior, from 5 to 7 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Jeffrey Smith of the Richmondville United Methodist Church.
