Dale Brooks

Middleburgh- Dale R. Brooks, 66, of Christmas Tree Lane, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Dale was born on February 13, 1949 in Schenectady to Flora B. (Finch) and Kenneth R. Brooks.

He worked as a machinist for over thirty years at General Electric before retiring.

In his free time, Dale enjoyed fishing and camping. His greatest joy though, was found with his grandchildren.

Dale is survived by his wife, Roberta H. (Wainwright) Brooks, of Middleburgh, whom he married on August 5, 1967 and daughter: Terry Ann (Thomas) Wargo of Middleburgh; son: Dale R. Brooks, Jr. (Jennifer Banks) of Schoharie; sisters: Sandra Berical of Middleburgh; Brenda Thomas of Virginia; grandchildren: Katrina LaForest, Steven LaForest, Meggin Bea Brooks, Seraphina Wargo, Fletcher Ray Brooks; great-grandson: Logan Deguzman.

A memorial service will be held at 7pm on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh, with Father Matthew Wetsel of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 7 PM on Friday, prior to the service. Inurnment will be private.
