Cobleskill- Cynthia G. Thogersen, 70, formerly of Cobleskill, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Otsego Manor following a short illness.
Born September 27, 1940 in New York City, she was the daughter of John A. and Mildred (Morand) Roger.
Cindy was a 1958 graduate of Mohopac High School and then received her registered nurse's license from Danbury Hospital Nursing Program. She had been employed at Grasslands Hospital in Valhalla as a registered nurse and was director of the blood bank at the hospital.
Cindy was a former resident of Richmondville and Schoharie before moving to Cobleskill.
She volunteered at the Community Hospital in Cobleskill for several years, and enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include her two sons: Peter Thogersen and Erik Thogersen, both of Cobleskill; and her brother: John (Susan) Roger, Jr. of Hopewell Junction.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, April 1, 2011 at Kensico Cemetery,273 Lakeview Ave., Valhalla, NY. Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill from 4 to 6 PM on Thursday, March 31, 2011.
