Cobleskill-Clyde Wright, 85, of State Route 145, died Saturday, April 23, 2022 in the comfort of his home with his loving family at his side.
Born May 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Harold and Myrtle (Bevins) Wright.
Clyde was a lifelong area resident and retired from the Labor Union #157 of Schenectady where he was a laborer for many years.
He was an avid gardener and took great pride in his flower gardens. Clyde also enjoyed hunting and traveling and camping in his retirement years. The most pleasurable times were spent with family, especially his three grandchildren.
Clyde was the beloved husband of Alice (Mau) Wright, whom he married on June 29, 1958; his treasured children: Sherrie L. Wright of Stratford, CT, Clyde H. Wright of East Cobleskill, NY, Johnny Wright of Stratford, CT, Dale A. (Larry) Pearson of Richmondville, NY; loving grandfather of Dennis (Tara) Hoyt of Cohoes, NY, Heidi (Derek) Erbert of Hays, KS, and Nicholas Pearson of Seattle, WA; beloved brother of Arthur Wright of Delanson, NY, Kenneth Wright of Schoharie, NY, Loretta Murphy of Clarksville, TN, and Shirley Barbic of Central Bridge, NY. Clyde was predeceased by his siblings: Myrtle Strobeck, Doris Borealli, Lillian Mau, Martin Wright and Robert Wright.
Private services will be held at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill with Rev. Peter DeBartolo officiating.
