Clement Falzarano

Warnerville(Schoharie County)- Clement A. Falzarano, 84, of State Route 7, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Oneonta Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, Oneonta, NY.

He was born June 8, 1926 in Central Bridge, NY, the son of Domenick and Stella (Farro) Falzarano.

A graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School, he went on to serve our country, enlisting in the United States Navy from 1944 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1946.

Clem worked on the D & H Railroad for a few years, then in the NYS Commerce Dept. in Albany and later retired as the Senior Mail Clerk at SUNY Cobleskill in June 1982.

He liked to fish and spent much of his spare time doing scroll work and he made many beautiful pieces of work.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Mary (Mansheffer) Falzarano, whom he married May 5, 1959; two daughters: Marilyn (Jerry) Reukauf of Hubert, NC, and Kathleen Falzarano (Mark Millington) of Sloansville; a son, Robert (Madelon) Falzarano of Binghamton; his sister, Minnie (Jose) Fernandez of Pasadena, TX; one granddaughter, Stacy Falzarano of Whitney Point, NY; a grandson, David Millington of Carlisle, NY; two great-granddaughters: Kaylee and Lacey Millington of Carlisle; and several nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, as well as a son, Michael Falzarano, and a sister, Madeline Karker.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Officiating will be Rev. Marvin Batcher of the Warnerville United Methodist Church. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home from 6 to 7 PM, Sat., prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
