Claude Dibble

Mr. Claude W. Dibble, 88, of Schenectady, died Tues. March 18, 2008 , peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Dibble was born on Nov. 16, 1919 in Middleburgh, NY and graduated from Middleburgh Central School. He served in the United States Navy from 1942-1948 and flew with the Blimp Squadron, lighter than air. He retired from General Electric as a machinist and enjoyed vacationing on the beach, especially Cape May, NJ. Mr. Dibble was also a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Dibble, whom he married on Aug. 10, 1943 and

Tracey Kim Parks (Robert) Rotterdam, NY
Son: Gary Dibble (Cheryl) Schenectady, NY
Grandchildren: Alison Norman, Gene Dibble, Seth Dibble and Brian Bartlette
Beloved Great Grandchildren: Justina Calhoun, Danna Norman, Declynn and Bryson Dibble.
And his faithful grand-pet, a silver poodle named Chynna

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you's to Pastor John Horn, Associate Pastor Jesse Worsham and the Community Hospice for all of their kindness.

A memorial service will be held on Sat. March 22, 2008 at 4:00 PM at the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2919 Lydius St. Schenectady, NY. Spring interment will take place in the Middleburgh Cemetery, Middleburgh, NY. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Community Hospice, 1411 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308 or to the Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2919 Lydius St. Schenectady, NY 12303. The Palmer & Shaylor Inc. Funeral Home Middleburgh and the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, Cobleskill are assisting the family with the arrangements.
