Cobleskill- Clarence "Buddy" Rickard, 84, of Caverns Road died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, May 10, 2015.
Born January 20, 1931, he was the son of Clarence W. and Margaret (Fitzgerald) Rickard.
Buddy was a 1948 graduate of Worcester Central School. He retired from P&C Foods in Cobleskill where he was a butcher for many years,
A lifelong area resident, he resided on Caverns Road in the town of Cobleskill all his life. He enjoyed working outside his home, tending to the property.
Survivors include his six children: David Rickard of Warnerville, Joan (Terry) Deming of Warnerville, Jean (Kent) Fuller of Ravena, Jane (James) Palmer of Carlisle, William Rickard of Wilmette, IL, and Jeanette (Larry) Wollaber of Cobleskill; his two siblings: Marion Bascomb of Cobleskill and Gerald (Barbara) Rickard of Amsterdam; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be private in Bramanville-Prospect Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, Inc., PO Box 40, Howes Cave, NY 12092.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
