Middleburgh- Clarence R. Loucks, 76, of Grove Street, died Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY.
Clarence was born July 13, 1930 in Middleburgh, the son of Walter and Elnora (Tallman) Loucks.
He retired from the Schoharie County Highway Department where he was a motor equipment operator. Clarence had been employed by the Town of Middleburgh Highway Department before serving as superintendent for 13 years.
He was of Lutheran faith and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and most of all being a family man.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Peifer) Loucks, whom he married Aug. 8, 1955; his daughter, Caroline (Virgil) Pangburn of Middleburgh; 2 grandsons: Robert (Carol) Pangburn of Fayetteville, NC, and Andrew Pangburn of Middleburgh; and a great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Pangburn of Fayetteville, NC.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 23, 2007 at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh with Rev. Paula Gravelle officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service on Friday. Spring interment will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
