Cesar Munive

Cobleskill- Cesar A. Munive, 60, of Elm Street, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at his home with his family at his side.

Born September 28, 1950 in Baranquilla, Colombia, he was the son of Leda (De Larosa) Munive, who survives him and Cesar Munive, who predeceased him.

Cesar lived and worked in New York City until 1989, when he and his family moved to Cobleskill. He was employed at Interknitting and Guilford Mills prior to working at SUNY Nanotech in Albany.

Cesar loved to travel, was an avid NY Yankees fan, and introduced his entire family to their love of tennis and soccer. He loved to dance to Paul Simon, Juan Pina, Carlos Vives, and Madonna. Cesar was always the first on the dance floor. He also enjoyed learning to canoe.

Cesar was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cobleskill.

Survivors include his wife, Maria (Cambray) Munive, whom he married September 9, 1977 in NY City; his son, Jason and his wife, Andrea Dudzinski; his two daughters, Raquel and her husband, Steven Bower, and Michelle Munive; his family dog, Max; his mother, Leda Munive and her children; and many loving family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 PM (noon) on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill. Burial will follow in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 PM on Tues. at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
