Cobleskill- Cassie Dawn Hauenstein, 30, of Grovenors Corners Road, died Saturday, January 27, 2007, due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Cassie was born May 17, 1976 in Gloversville, NY and was a graduate of Johnstown High School.
She was a nursery care provider at the Cobleskill United Methodist Church and was also vice president of the United Methodist Women. An active volunteer in the community and school, she was never too busy to help anyone in need.
Cassie was a devoted and loving mother, wife, and friend who will be missed by many and eternally loved by all.
Survivors include her husband, Keith D. Hauenstein, whom she married February 15, 1997; devoted mother of Samantha Ruth and Kristin Elizabeth Hauenstein; Daughter of John H. and Charlotte (Van Vranken) Wilkes of Caroga Lake; sister of Joshua (Jessica) Wilkes of Little Falls, and Justin A. Wilkes of Caroga Lake; father-in-law and mother-in-law: David and Barbara Hauenstein of Aldenville, PA; Brother-in-laws: Chad ( Michelle) Hauenstien of Moscow, PA, and Russell (Chrissy) Hauenstein of Lake Ariel, PA, seververal aunts, uncles, cousins and best friend, Holly Holden Butler.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the Cobleskill United Methodist Church Chapel Street Cobleskill, with Rev. Laurel Phillips officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be sent to a trust fund for Samantha and Kristin Hauenstein care of Key Bank 117 Veterans Drive Cobleskill, NY 12043.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home 171 Elm Street Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
