Richmondville: Carolyn A. Hamm, 67, of Looking Glass Road, died Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Albany Medical Center, following a long illness.

Carolyn was born on June 14, 1949, in Schenectady, NY, to Gladys (Swart) and Nick J. Isabella, Sr.

She graduated from Schalmont High School and went on to earn her Associate's degree in computer science from SUNY Cobleskill and her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree from Ashford.

Carolyn started as an aide at St. Peter's Hospital before taking the same position at Eden Park Nursing Home in Cobleskill. She became the activities director and eventually the payroll supervisor there. Her last place of employment was for herself, forming her own business called Healthcare Angels.

Carolyn enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, knitting and she was a huge Elvis fan.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter: Valerie Ingraham (Michael Keller) of Central Bridge; son: Roberto Hamm of Sharon Springs; sister: Eileen (Thomas) Sweeney of Owings, MD; brother: Nick Isabella, Jr. of Louisiana; granddaughters: Cassandra (Kenny) Kligerman of East Durham, Jennifer Keller of Central Bridge; grandsons: Ryan (Kirsten) Keller of Delmar, Tyler Keller of Central Bridge, Dakota Hamm of Florida; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; companion: James Callahan of Richmondville.

A memorial Mass will be held at 3 PM on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Our Lady of the Valley, Main St., Middleburgh with Father Matthew Wetsel as celebrant. Inurnment will be private.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer & Shaylor Funer Home, 134 River St, Middleburgh and Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
