Esperance- Carol J. Woreth, 53, of State Highway 20, died Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany with her loving family at her side.
Born May 29, 1964 in Bay Shore, NY, Carol had been a resident of Schoharie County for most of her adult life.
For many years, she was the secretary at the middle school of Cobleskill Richmondville Central School District. For the 2016-2017 school year, Carol was a substitute teacher at Worcester Central School.
Carol's hobbies included riding motorcycles, ATVs, camping and astronomy. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding. She also had a special fondness for dogs. Often Carol would be found volunteering at the Esperance BPOE Lodge #2507.
Survivors include her three children: Samantha (Charles) Holmes of Cobleskill, Stephanie Woreth of Albany, and Richard Woreth, Jr. of Syracuse; her twin sister, Cheryl Clark of Summit; sister, Christine Hoffman of Esperance; two brothers: Roger Clark of Cobleskill and Jeff Clark of Wolfe City, TX; and her companion for the past ten years, Stan Hurban of Esperance; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation to be held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. A private graveside service will be held in Summit Cemetery.
