Carol Wilkinson

Jefferson- Carol Ann Wilkinson, 78, of Jefferson, died on Monday, December 31, 2018 at St. John's Home in Rochester, NY.

Born February 8, 1940 in Queens, NY, she was a daughter of William and Tessie (Lempicky) Wilkinson.

Carol retired from Jefferson Central Schools, where she was the District Treasurer. Carol also served as a Notary Public for many years.

She was a long-time member of the Cobleskill Full Gospel Church and loved the Lord.

She enjoyed spending her time volunteering at church, making crafts with her mother, walking in the woods, gardening, cooking, drawing, caring for her pet ducks, and joking around and telling stories with her nieces and nephews.

Survivors include her sister, Joyce (James) Vercruysse of Rochester; her aunt, Dorothy Prendergast of Mineola; three nieces: Doreen (Paul) Keptner of Midland, MI, Debra Vercruysse of Latham, NY, and Cynthia (Chad) Carlton of Webster, NY; five great-nieces and great-nephews: Steven, David, and Alyssa Keptner, Caleb and Carter Carlton, and several cousins. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Tessie Wilkinson.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St. Cobleskill with Rev. Richard Smith of Cobleskill Full Gospel Church officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 4 from 6 to 8 PM.  Spring interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Jefferson.
