Middleburgh- Carol L. Lee, 64, formerly of the New York City area, most recently of Huntersland Road, died Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at Countryside Care Center in Delhi, NY, where she had been a resident for the past month.
Born October 18, 1944 in Brooklyn, Carol was the daughter of William E. and Myrtle (Feeley) Lee. She attended Queens College and New York University. Carol was editor and chief of the Queens College paper, Night Beat.
Carol was employed at J.F. K. Airport, where she cleaned airplanes, and most recently was a certified dental assistant for Dr. Lustbadder in Queens, NY.
She was an avid Star Trek fan and a journalist for her own magazines. She published the "Hilltop Howler", which was an online newspaper. Carol also collected dolls.
Carol was of Catholic faith and had played guitar at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Queens.
Survivors include her brother, William A. (Cheryl) Lee of Middleburgh; a nephew, William W. (Cathy) Lee of Pennsylvania; and several cousins.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home 134 River Street Middleburgh with Father Thomas Holmes of St. Catherine's Church in Middleburgh officiating. Friends are welcome to attend the service, as well as the calling hour that will be held from 3 to 4 PM on Friday, prior to the service. Cremation will follow at Vale Crematory, Schenectady, NY.
