Richmondville- Carol J. Grasley, 80, of Furnaceville Road, died Monday, April 18, 2022, at Bassett Medical Center following a few months of declining health.
Born May 1, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Florence (Manfredo) Aufieri, Jr.
Carol was a homemaker all her life and treasured her time spent with family. For the past 30 years, she has lived with her daughter and family moving from South Carolina to Richmondville four years ago. She had cared for her granddaughters, Katelynn and Skylar, and particularly enjoyed being with Skylar these past two years. Carol also found great joy in shopping, whether it was for makeup and purses or just from the home TV shows.
Cherishing the memories of the loved one are her children: Daniel (Cathy) Grasley of Maiden, NC, Linda (Brian) Kennedy of East Northport, NY, Donnajo ( John) Marzo of Lincolnton, NC and Cindyrae (Michael) Steinmeyer of Richmondville, NY; her sister, Maryellen (Martin) Thomas of Summerville, SC; ten grandchildren: Samantha, Stormy, Alicia, Chelsey, Sean, Jason, Peyton, Cara, Katelynn and Skylar and several great-grandchildren.
There will be no public services. Memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill.
