Burr Keyser

West Fulton- Burr "Joe" L. Keyser, 84, of West Fulton Rd., died Friday, December 31, 2010 at his residence.

Joe was born in the Town of Fulton on January 22, 1926, a son of the late Hazel (Souers) and Walter Keyser.

He was a life-long area resident and worked as a carpenter for the Local 157 Union in Schenectady, NY. Joe also worked for Guernsey's Nurseries in
Schoharie, NY.

Joe enjoyed the outdoors and was a long-time member of the West Fulton Rod & Gun Club.

He was predeceased by his infant daughter, Mary Ann and his siblings: Blanche Warner, Molly Nolette, Elizabeth Sweet, Jim Keyser, Chester Keyser, Walter "Babe" Keyser, Charles Keyser and George Keyser.

Joe is survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in the spring at Breakabeen Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Cremation took place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady.

The family has requested memorial contributions in Joe's name be made to the Middleburgh Volunteer Ambulance Corps., PO Box 817, Middleburgh, NY 12122 or to the West Fulton Rod & Gun Club, West Fulton, NY 12194
