Richmondville- Brenda L. Tansey Laux, 43, of Main Street, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
Born February 15, 1968 in Albany, NY, Brenda lived most of her life in Cobleskill and was a 1986 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School. Following graduation, she continued her education, pursuing a nursing career. While attending college she was employed as a nurse's aide at the former Delhi Infirmary.
Brenda is survived by her son: Kyle R. Laux of Galway; her mother and step-father: Eldena and Brainerd Ingraham of Cobleskill; her father, Alfred G. Tansey of Greenville, OH; her siblings: Barbara J. Tansey of Cobleskill, Michael K. (Karen) Tansey of Davenport, NY, Robert A. (Virginia) Tansey of Sharon Springs, Wendy M. (Mark) Smith of Morrisville, NY, Steven W (Tammy) Tansey of Cobleskill and Cynthia L. (Charlie) Evans of East Worcester, NY; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, NY with Rev. Victor R. Zaccaro officiating. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home prior to the service Mon. from 10 to 11 AM. Inurnment will follow in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery.
