Cobleskill- Brainerd J. "Bernie" Ingraham, 83, of State Route 10, Cobleskill, New York died Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at his home, with his family by his side.

Born on August 12, 1940 in Richmondville, NY, he was the son of Charles Ingraham and Eliza (Stanton) Ingraham. He was a proud lifelong resident of Schoharie County.

Bernie was a plumber/steamfitter for SUNY Cobleskill, retiring in 1995. He also drove bus and tractor trailers. He loved to drive and maintained his CDL until his passing.

He was a 50 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2695 in Cobleskill. Bernie enjoyed traveling with his motor home and loved to hunt, shooting his last deer last year at the age of 82. He took pride in his home by keeping things neat and orderly.

Bernie was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Brenda Tansey Laux in 2011; brothers, Bradley Ingraham, Harry M. Ingraham; nephews, Matthew Ingraham, William "Bud" Ingraham.

He is survived by his wife, Eldena A. Ingraham of Cobleskill, NY, together they celebrated 52 years; children, Barbara Tansey, Michael (Karen) Tansey, Robert (Virginia) Tansey, Wendy (Robert) Printz, Steven (Tammy) Tansey, Cynthia (Charlie) Evans; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Bonnie) Ingraham of Middleburgh, NY; sisters-in-law, Dawne Ingraham and Dorothy Ingraham.

A private graveside service will be held at Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
