Beverly M. Dietz

Cobleskill- Beverly Marie Dietz, 86, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her daughter's home, surrounded by loving family.

Born on September 18, 1936 in Richmondville, NY, she was the daughter of Clarence Cole and Mildred Freeman Cole. She was a graduate of Richmondville High School, Class of 1954 and was a lifetime resident of the local area.

Mrs. Dietz was a manager for Dairylea Ice Cream Corp. in Cobleskill, retiring in 1978. In 1993 she started working part-time for SUNY Cobleskill Daycare, retiring for the second time in 2004. Following her retirement she volunteered at the daycare.

She was a member of the Richmondville United Methodist Church.

Beverly enjoyed watching birds, especially cardinals and ducks. She was a farm girl, growing up on her family's horse farm in Richmondville. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren.

On February 5, 1956 in Cobleskill, Beverly was married to Clyde Dietz. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1994. Her son, William "Billy"; 4 sisters; and step-father, Ray Bruce also predeceased her.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Don) Morey of Cobleskill, NY; son, Kevin Dietz of Cobleskill, NY; grandson, Jason (Tracy) Morey of Churchton, MD; granddaughter, Tiara Dietz of Monroe, GA; brothers, Gerald Cole residing at Cooperstown Center and Raeburn Cole of Melbourne, FL.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 4th from 11:00-1:00PM at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY 12043. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, at the funeral home, with Robert Stark officiating. Burial will take place in Cobleskill Rural Cemetery at a later date.
