Beatrice Nirschl

Sharon Springs- Beatrice L. Nirschl, 77, of Honeybee Road, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born April 7, 1939 in Howes Cave, she was the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Simmons) Scott.

Bea was a 1959 graduate of the former Cobleskill Central School. She retired from Beechnut Factory in Canajoharie after many years as a laborer.

Beatrice married Robert C. Nirschl on May 28, 1960 and he predeceased her on September 10 of this year. Three siblings, Florence Hotaling, Betty Scott, and James Scott also predeceased her.

Survivors include her three daughters: Valerie (David) Banick of St. Johnsville, Ann (Joseph) Pendolf of Fort Plain and Jill Nirschl of Sharon Springs; her five siblings: Margaret Diamond of Schenectady, Doris Diamond of Middleburgh, Arthur Scott of Gardnersville, David Scott of Sloansville, and Nancy Marlow of Howes Cave; four grandchildren: Lawrence, John and Angela Banick and Dominic Pendolf; six great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Emmitt, Daisy, and Tanner Banick, Mariah Fredette, and Meadow Wilder; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Lawyersville Reformed Church, 4957 State Route 145, Cobleskill with Rev. Paul Ferenczy officiating.
Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery, Leesville. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
