Barbaranne Manzer

Aurora, NY: Barbaranne C. Manzer, 67, of Aurora, died Sat. April 15, 2006 at the Ithaca Hospital, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Manzer was born on Feb. 7, 1939, in New York, NY, a daughter of Anna T. Buckenberger Gallagher and the late Daniel J.Gallagher. She graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1957 and SUNY Oneonta in 1962. She taught school in Port Byron, NY for 33 years. Mrs. Manzer was an avid collector of McCoy pottery and sat on the Board of Directors of the Frontenac Museum in Union Springs, NY and on the Board of Directors for The Home, in Aurora, NY. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Manzer is survived by her husband, Arnold Jack Manzer of Aurora, NY, whom she married on Dec. 22, 1979. She is also survived by her mother, Anna T. Gallagher of Middleburgh, NY and a sister, Joan Gallagher of Middleburgh, NY.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 18, at Palmer & Shaylor, Inc. Funeral Home 134 River St. Middleburgh, NY. Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Middleburgh Cemetery.
