Hyndsville- Barbara Jean Tissiere, 78, died August 12, 2010 with her final hours surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 16, at 6:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church, Main Street, Cobleskill.
Barbara Jean, better known as BJ, touched so many in her memorable life. She gave her time and love to family, friends and many in the community. Her devoted efforts with the Cobleskill Hospital Auxiliary were extraordinary. She enjoyed people and was gifted in making them feel special.
BJ was born in Tupper Lake, NY and moved to Cobleskill in 1938. She graduated from Cobleskill High School in 1949 and married her high school sweetheart, Bob, recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
BJ is survived by her devoted husband, Bob Tissiere; her seven children: Dan, Denise, Jamie, Michele, Rob, Brett, and Tracey; her 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, and her sister,Lynn (Belmore) Ottman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cobleskill Regional Hospital Auxiliary, 178 Grandview Drive, Cobleskill, NY 12043.
