Barbara D. Mickel

Barbara D. Mickel, 93, of Glenville, New York died Friday, April 11, 2025, at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia.
Born on November 11, 1931, in Union City, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Emil Zanger and Rosa Stahlecker Zanger. She was a graduate of Schoharie Central School.
Barbara was a secretary for General Electric in Schenectady for 35 years.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glenville.
Barbara enjoyed bowling and playing cards. She volunteered for the Red Cross and enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband of over 40 years, Albert Mickel. Her parents, and brother, Albert Zanger, Sr. also predeceased her.
Barbara is survived by her nephews and nieces, Albert F. Zanger, Jr., Nora J. and Gregg Gallucci, Pauline Zanger, Jeffrey and Bonnie Zanger; and great-nephews, Anthony and Andrew Gallucci.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Lawyersville Cemetery, Cobleskill, NY.
