Barbara Gavitt

Howes Cave- Barbara A. Gavitt, 95, of State Route 7, died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Palatine Bridge Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for the past few months.

Born March 28, 1918 in Tribes Hill, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Pauline (Gralewski) Chorzelewski.

Barbara received her Associates degree and retired from Adirondack Trust Co. in Saratoga Springs.

She was a member of the Howes Cave Reformed Church.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, William.

Survivors include her sister: Elizabeth Pranys of Tribes Hill; a niece: Margaret Nash of Schenectady; three great-nephews: Michael Chevalier of Howes Cave, Steven Chevalier of New Hampshire, and Edward Chevalier of Schenectady.

A memorial service will be held at the Howes Cave Reformed Church at a later date to be announced. Inurnment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Stillwater.
